Happy new year, and I hope 2005 is a lot better than 2004.

seriously, my MeFi resolution for next year is try and find a better way to make my points. My current style seems to have people missing them and pisses off people I like rather than the intended targets, so a change is in order.

And a Happy New Year to all of you.

I finished my baking marathon (brownies, frangipani cake, fat-free but surprisingly delicious pumpkin muffins for a friend with horrible cholesterol issues) and will be heading to a party soon, so I want to anticipate my big midnight kiss to all of you.

Big midnight kiss. You guys are my virtual water-cooler gang, and without you this working-alone business might make me stir-crazier than I am.

I am wishing for a better year for every one of us, and for the world. My hope is that 2005 is tsunami, bomb, and pandemic free for everyone.

And more love--even when it's spiked with the leavening acid of snark--here at MeFi. And less goatse.

SMOOCH!

oooh! I can't wait. I am starting to count backwards. What if 2005 is 2.5 hrs away... We'll see where I get.

Happy one, kids. For all.

Personally, my 2004 sucked. Here's to 2004! I gotta start hanging out with Sidhedevil. I loves me some pumpkin muffins!

Hugs to sidhedevil, congrats to mathowie and happy new year to all of you! 2004 was a very sad year for some family members and friends of mine, and for them I pray for peace and happiness in 2005. For all who had a great year, may the good times continue to roll!

A bunch of MeFi's posts have sent my brain and heart careening off into new directions this year and AskMeFi has been a godsend too. Spirit willing, double ought five will bring some peace to the world as well.

it's a conspiracy i say, a conspiracy ... the government's faking the whole ball at the times square thing to make us believe in some kind of mythological progress ... regis philbin is a paid liar ... they poisoned dick clark because he was going to spill the beans ... they assassinated guy lumbardo because he was about to tell the whole terrible story to the press

it's been 1981 for 23 years!! ... wake up folks ... OUR GOVERNMENT AND MEDIA ARE LYING TO US!!

A happy new year from the eastern time zone! 04 was not my best year but I have high hopes for 05 and I wish the best to the gang here.
PT, Dick Clark was not poisoned. They burned the painting and he aged 80 years in minutes.

Ugh.. The last New Year's eve of my 20's was spent surrounded by an ugly sea of dead corn, in the ugly suburb-like capital of Nebraska.

My deepest sympathies go out to those of you who have clearly dealt with much, much worse (MeFi users and others.) And I wish you all, even if 2004 was a good year, a better 2005.

(And dammit, Nebraska corn.. When will you learn that you are going die every October? Ahh, you make me so miserable when there is no snow to cover you.)

If MTV2 actually airs Kids Show (Warning: Adult Content) like they're supposed to, it will be a great year (for TV watching anyway). The USA Network was going to air it, but they killed it after watching the pilot.

Speaking for myself, 2004 was a fantastic year with the best possible New Year's Eve celebration. And I am guessing that 2005 will be even better.
