No New Windows February 20, 2005 6:39 PM   Subscribe

Minature Horse Request: When you add a contact and when you flag a comment for review, a new browser window pops up to continue on to the next step. Is there any way that this could be changed so that it continues in the same window? I know this is minor, but it's driving me batty.

You have "open links in a new window" in your settings. For now, if you want the behavior to go away, just change your preferences.

Actually, I'm in Firefox and I have it set to "new tab." That would even be acceptable, but this is popping up a complete new window.

Your settings are in your Metafilter preferences, amandaudoff. "open links in a new window" means "open links in a new window".

Allright, I'm a dumbass. It's fixed.

Thank you, and good night.

Actually, I'm now confused about who's talking about what here, with preferences and settings. But I'm pretty sure changing your Metafilter preferences will solve the issue, Firefox settings aside.

Whoops -- never mind. Glad that that sorted it.

Now that I've flagged my own comment to confirm it...yes, that worked. Now we know.

If this a problem you're flagging too many comments. Jesus -- would you email Matt about all of these?

Way to break the new pony's back.

Um....I flagged one comment, thanks. (Well two, if you count my test.) Way to jump to conclusions.

Step away from the computer....

I know this is minor, but it's driving me batty.

You're driven batty in one comment? Don't step, run away from the computer.

(Let me apologise for saying that amandaudoff was breaking the pony. I misunderstood her but don't now, thanks to the magic of #mefi)
