Ack! I forgot to change the link from 'bugs' to 'gatherings'. It's late, I apologize.

Anyway, I was thinking we could meet in the front bar area of "Monsoon", its a nice place, and casual.

:D Are we a go?

ahhh. The Promenade. I used to work there. It is about the only thing I miss about Los Angeles. Have fun folks!

I can probably make it.

Umm... is this the place? It says it opens at 4 on sudays. I've never been there so I don't know how it works. Is there a lounge/bar area that will be open at 3 or shall we adjust the time?

Either way, I'm there.

From my experience, L.A. meetups are always full of bugs...

According to the 3rd Street Prominade Walking Map (pdf), the Monsoon Cafe is right next door to Fatburger, which just seems more appropriate for a MeFi gathering... or we could just hang out at the B&N bookstore...

Alrighty, how about 4pm at the Barnes & Noble cafe? That should take care of both issues.
Maybe we should all bring something red to recognize each other? How does one usually do this?

Can't make it; I'm going to be in New York this weekend.

*sighs, gnashes teeth*

Have a great time, and take photos!

I'll likely be there, as the swelling from my jaw surgery is finally going down enough that I can now have a beverage in public without too much risk of dribbling down my shirt. Which is always a good skill to be in control of at meet-ups, I find.

Prolly can't make it, unless my fair-weather-dependent activity for the day is rained out.

scody, the L.A. MonkeyFilter meet-ups already dropped the "no drooling" rule. I'm having my own mouthal crisis right now so you won't stand out as much, and I will be enforcing photography restrictions based on a document I picked up at a Bush campaign rally.

Radio7, if we're going to be wearing something identifiable, the official MetaFilter Gang Color is #006699 Blue. Anyone wearing red may be subjected to a drive-by blogging. And don't abbreviate MetaFilter as MF. (Do I have to explain why?) I'll try to print out some MeFi ID badges for the event (the ones I made previously have been sold on eBay). I'll be carrying a stuffed weasel (which I will explain later).

mzurer, if it rains, I'm blaming YOU, and I'm sending all the people whose houses slide down the hills over to KICK YOUR ASS.

I'll see what my schedule is like, I think it's open. Maybe Matt can get this so it posts on the side?

lol.
Bah, I'm still bringing something red, 'cause I'm all rebellious like that....
Sorry to hear LimePi and Asparagirl can't make it.:(
Until Sunday then~

It was fun if sparsely attended. Here's the MeFi Girls Gone Wild shot.

Ha! Fabulous shot, Will.

Here's a more subdued one with willnot as well.

Good food, good company! I really enjoyed getting to know willnot and Radio7.
