THANK YOU

I've been back in school since January, and I love it. I'm carrying 19 units and I think I will probably have a GPA of 3.85+ this semester. My brain has come back from the brink of death! The finances just kind of took care of themselves. I'm taking out a college loan, the university threw in a grant, and I just landed a nice job on campus. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the advice and support.

Maybe you should get a [more inside] hat with that kind of GPA!

That's awesome Keswick. As someone who's been on the brink and back, it's nice to hear/read about your success.

Does this mean you'll be less snarky?
(please say no, please say no!)

That's great to hear. I missed the original thread, but as someone else who has recently returned to university this post brought a smile to my face.

keswick: Congratulations. I'm 31 and went back two semesters ago and finally finished my A.A. Now I'm working on the Bachelors', and probably going to do an MFA afterwards. I was out of the game for a while, and I felt stagnant as well. Now I'm running straight A's and LOVING school. I can't get enough. although I get distracted by all the nymphettes...

Enjoy it, you're in a much better position now in terms of focus and interest, and also what you can bring to the table in discussions, &c.

I get really excited when I hear of other "non-traditional" students.

graventy: I think she probably created some more aliases. /metagrifter

Right behind you, buddy. Thanks for the post; it's encouraging. Now to get back to studying!

Dam, keswick! Good job. Encouraging as well.

Yeah, yeah, that's all well and good, keswick, but have you scored with any hot co-eds yet?

KevinSkomsvold: Not a fucking chance. I went to school; I didn't get a lobotomy. (Insert "bottle in front of me" joke here.)

jonmc: Alas, no. I have, unfortunately, suffered multiple cases of whiplash walking across campus. (They didn't have hot girls like then like they do now. My, oh my.) Then I remember the freshmen women were five when I was a freshman, and I break down and cry.)

I have theories on that. We were either too dense to notice what hot was back then, or it was the 80's and everybody looked awful.

Congrats anyway, man, and it's a good thing I wasn't in that thread, i would've advised you to say to hell wit it and become a bum. So my advice to you is don't listen to my advice.

It was the 80s and everyone looked awful. *shudders at the memory*.

Well done keswick and best of luck. Just don't spend all your time here instead of studying or you will end up like us old codgers.

P'shaw. They're 18 and legal now, and that's what counts.

*ducks*

And congrats!
