Dang, I was supposed to plan the next Portland, OR MeFi gathering. So how about it? 9th of April OK with everyone? Any suggestions as to place? Prefereably a brewpub environment that's quiet enough to talk in on westide downtown, has beer, and where those under the magic age of 21 are permitted.

I would love to come but alas I have no suggestions. However, may I request that it not be super smokey?

yodeling, you got it.

We did Kennedy School last time. It was actually pretty decent, although some of the people that lived downtown and get around via bus would've preferred somewhere in their neck of the woods... and it would've been nice if someone called ahead reservations.

What about The Lucky Lab on Hawthorne? Minors are permitted until 9 pm, so if we met at 5:30 we'd have plenty of time.

I can't make this Saturday, I have to paint the nursery and set up the crib. Launch day is quickly approaching.

Launch day is quickly approaching.

Oooh!

That's the last weekend before we move into our new home, and there's a lot of work to be done--so while we had a great time at the last one, I think we'll have to pass this time.

We should be well settled by the next one.

Matt - The 9th is next saturday, not this one. Still too close to launch day?

I'm going to call and see if they take reservations of some sort. If they do, I'll try and get a count of heads...

From my experience, the Lucky Lab is anything but quiet. But, I may actually make it to this one, believe it or not.

Ohh I like the lucky Lab idea, if it's nice lets sit outside so I can bring my fat pug!

Is there enough room outside to fit your adorably enormous pug? I will come back to town if this one gets set up.

Hey! Watch out on dissing the pug twinkie man :| She could eat you in 2 seconds flat.

There's tons of room in the outside dog area. Dunno how crowded the Lab is on weekends though.

Starting at 5:30 would be perfect for me since I could walk down with the wife and the munchkin.

You know, if you did it on the 16th instead, then the 21+ portion of the crowd could totally wander over to Ash Street later on to rock out to my band.

MeFites at a show would be just ridiculously neat.

I'm going to take the previous posts as consensus as to location and time. Let me enquire about reservations and crowds with the good people at the pub, and then I'll post another thread for roll-call.
