Ass buttons. And lick spots. Thank you for making me laugh, and teaching me something new.

Seriously. I haven't laughed so much at (and with) a thread here since 9622v2, if not before. Thanks.

I'm going to go give my cats some elevator butt. You should too.

Oh... I will get used to tabbed browsing someday!

scarabic - change your 2nd post to "tabby browsing" and you are back on topic.

I thought it was "tabby arousing"

I thought I knew everything about cats. The lick spot was a new one on me. I've spent the last 2 days trying to get my cats to lick, but I think they are immune.

Try peanut butter! (Sorry, I just had to.)

My two cats (1, 2) don't have "lick buttons," but do have "ass buttons."

I've never seen nor petted a cat without an "ass button", nor have I ever seen or petted a cat with a "lick button". (Experience - roughly 50 cats of family, friends and acquaintances)

I didn't know if it was more appropriate to post this here or in the original thread...

Metafilter: Too many ass buttons, not enough lick buttons.

It's ok. I'm already dead. Bubees can have no effect on me.

That's not bubees, that's a pussy!

Still trying to locate the lick buttons on my cats three days after that thread.

the best part is I think, together, we've coined an actual term for that place on the cat- "the lick button". I bet it enters the mainstream.

"Ass button" is already well on it's way.

I too spent some time looking for the lick spot, and I think I found it. But I think it's got a self-timer on it or something. The target cat sort of freaked out, rolled around, and then 30-60 seconds later begain furiously licking my sleeping GF on the arm. She's never been a licky cat.

Lick spot, my dear Bucketed Buddha. People will think you're square, daddy-o.

I've copyrighted the phrase "ass button." Each time someone uses it they owe me a pancake.

my cat.

I feel like, after all this, she deserves some credit for spazzing out enough that I asked the original question.

Oh, a long-haired calico. The exact kind of cat I am most allergic to. When I was a small child I had a beagle. Eventually, we got a calico and I called it a beagle cat. The End.
