I am certain we discussed this on the blue. There was a man who wrote an article about how he'd been writing papers for college students, and that he was "quitting," and it seemed a bit hostile to college profs for not noticing, or something? He made like $60k a year writing essays and research papers for college students. Can someone find that post? I've tried, but I'm always terrible with finding things on this site.

I'm trying to find a post from wherein someone described a strategy of inserting deliberate and glaring errors into advertising copy (or possibly, web page design) so that the customer would find them, correct them and leave the bulk of the work untouched. [more inside]

Metafilter makes the national TV news in Finland (sort of)! A story in the Sunday edition of the nation's biggest daily paper Helsingin Sanomat about paranoia in the workplace was found to contain plagiarized quotes by a local blogger. The comment of mefite Schroder turns into a 37-year-old Finn named "Timo". The story contained two other quotes, also lifted and translated from English-language websites. The national broadcasting corporation YLE featured the case in the main news broadcast, and the newspaper has published an apology and a corrected online version of the story with all three plagiarized quotes removed.

Back in March 2009, I posted this quite thoroughly researched FPP about how Nobel Prize winner Dr. Luc Montagnier had fallen in with the quack disciples of the late Dr. Jacques Benveniste. It didn't go well. Now I've found this October 2009 article in Andy Lewis' admirable Quackometer blog, which, erm, looks awfully familiar in parts. [more inside]
