This FPP brought the wonderful Alabama Shakes to my attention. It got me to wondering if MeFi has ever been responsible for helping a musical act "break out" before. We've got a lot of members with blogs, Twitter accounts, etc. so we potentially have a lot of clout but is this something that can be measured?
That one post about sound guys and bands.
Searching for a post from a while ago (one year? two?) that was a list taken from a bathroom wall consisting of suggestions from sound-guys to band members. It was very snarky and brilliant. I've spent hours searching and have found nothing. I need it. bad.
Band Tags on Music?
Music.mefi question: Would it be inappropriate to add a band name/artist name tag to tracks you post if your songs come from several different bands?
