Give Steve_at_Linnwood a timeout or delete his attacks
You are such a cockface.

Matt, if you won't give this offensive ^%@&! a timeout, can you at least do your pointless-personal-attack-comment-deletion thing??? Or is this really how you want your site represented to the world? It's disruptive, divisive, and totally uncalled for.

Guidelines for contenious or inflammatory topics
All mapalm's posts this year have been about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; all of them pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli. The problem is that his editorializing is getting more and more heavy-handed. Today's post is downright inflammatory. In the thread, Sheauga's valiant attempts to provide background material were in vain. Can something be added to the guidelines asking posters to reserve their more contentious opinions for comments made in the thread?
raysmj is unhappy with the hostility in a thread
Is this weblog-as-conversation or game site material? (I know - it's only one person, but this sort of thing shouldn't happen.) What is up with such comments? In more controversial threads, it's to be expected. Do sarcasm and concurring opinions always have to be clearly labeled, though? (In the former case, my use of "disorder" was slight exaggeration for effect, given our society's current mania for the label. But it just so happens that it fits the angry-letter description perfectly. Unfortunately, by the end of that second angry letter, a rather intriguing thread on a non-dire matter has been killed by hostility.)
