Favorite comment/post bug

If someone marks post number x as a favorite, and someone else marks comment number x as a favorite, they both end up on the same "n users marked this as a favorite" page, even though they're referring to different items.

Bug: contributions by userx that were saved as favorites

Problems on "contributions by userx that were saved as favorites by other members" pages: example
1) New favorites (such as today's) are not being added to this page.
2) Clicking on "next page" just reloads the same page even though the url lists it as page 2. Page progression is fubared.

accidentally favorited one of my own comments

so I accidentally favorited one of my own comments, and yet that comment doesn't show up on my favorites page so I that I can remove it. What's the deal? I don't want to be a self-favoriter.

Every one of them was awesome

Hey facetious, I have a question, and there's no email address in your profile: Why did you go into a 10-month old thread on Sunday night and mark 267 consecutive comments as "Favorite"?

3 others? marked this as a favorite

On favorites pages, it says "3 others marked this as a favorite," despite the fact that the user whose page you're looking at is one of those 3 people. Would it not make more sense to say "3 people marked this as a favorite"? I keep wondering where the fourth person is.

Add-remove favorite link bug

I just went to remove a favorite, and while it successfully removes it, it continues to redirect to the same URL forever. It looks like the "add favorite" link for posts (but not comments) tries to do the same thing, but stops after one reload to tell me that the favorite has already been added.

Who's the Poet Laureate of MetaFilter?

Who's the Poet Laureate of MetaFilter? Sure, we have eloquent and witty members by the dozen, and everyone appreciates their stellar prose. However, our poets deserve recognition and a thread of their own. So, who's the most lyrical among us? I've said before that thomcatspike is the ee cummings of MeFi, and he may be, but stavrosthewonderchicken called me out here for saying so, claiming that clavdis is unequalled. All right, so we have two nominations. Any others? Favorite moments from these two or any other nominees?

is there a vaccine for your favorite X?

We seem to be in the midst of another "what's your favorite X" mini-epidemic: a link which varies from interesting to trivial, followed by an invitation to opine. This time it's sandwiches, beverages, newspapers, snacks, arcade games, amusing childhood beliefs. I won't bother to criticize--we've covered that ground many times here already. But I think it's interesting how when these things happen, it only takes one precipitating post to generate several others, seemingly on a "yeah! And hey, what about this?" principle. What's your favorite favorite-X question?

What is your favourite mefi thread?

Every now and then, I run into an old, really interesting Metafilter thread posted by someone or other on to a current thread. e.g. This posted by nprigoda today has some very interesting links.
I think it would be good to find out some of the most interesting threads from the past. So ....What is your favourite mefi thread? (Since I suspect most people have been bookmarking some of their favs)

working on a personalized version of metafilter

Just to let you know, in response to a lot of requests, I'm working on a personalized version of metafilter. No two members will see the same entries because it's going to start catering to your needs. If you like member A's links and comments, they'll get floated up. If you don't care for member B's argumentitive tone, they'll disappear from sight, and their comments will be hidden from view.

Once it's done, it's going to rock.
