New labels at FanFare for special case threads

Today we're adding four new labels for TV show threads at FanFare, to denote special spoiler conditions. Two are for recent experiments in "Rewatch" and "First Watch" threads, the other two are specifically for Game of Thrones threads, which we'll be splitting the last two episodes of this season into "Show Only" and "Books included". IRL, do we introduce other MeFites as friends, acquaintances, or what?

I was out at Jillian's in Boston yesterday, and I saw another MeFite there who I recognized from a previous MeFi meetup. Thing is, I didn't remember her real name, and I'm not sure that she'd remember mine. Should I have said hi, and if so, what would be the rules on having friends of MeFites meet each other? Do we introduce other MeFites as friends, acquaintances, or what?

BBbuddy questions

So. Omega has a wonderful FPP about BBbuddy, and now I'm tempted to join BBbuddy because I like the concept.

So here are two questions:

BBbuddy allows the creation of labels, and I think Metafilter should have one... what would we like it to be? "Mefi"? "Metafilter"? Should Metatalk and AskMefi have separate labels?

In order to track one's posts, it appears that BBbuddy asks its users to insert a link into the posts users wish to archive. Are there bandwidth implications for Metafilter if large numbers of Mefites become BBbuddy users? Are there other concerns?

Crafting Good Posts Part XXMCIV: labelling

Crafting Good Posts Part XXMCIV: labelling. Things to note when making a post: [QuickTime] = "this link has quicktime movie content," [NSFW] = "you may want to view this discretely," [NYT] = "this link requires a New York Times registration..."

What else do you wanna know up front? Let's go over it for our neoFites.
