How should we remember Roger Ebert?

I regret to inform you that Roger Ebert has died. He mattered to me, and to many people here. Jessamyn has deleted a couple of single-link obituary posts on the grounds that "as much as I appreciate the timeliness of this, this guy has been hugely influential here. EbertFilter

There have been three Ebert posts (not even counting this one) in the last four days. Typically aren't people encouraged to fold these kinds of links to existing discussions?

A Heaping Plate of Monkeys

Update: Roger Ebert's blog post about Ben Stein's Expelled (6MB HTML), talked about here, had so many comments the software wouldn't allow any more.

Roger gets our get well card.

The Chicago Sun-Times ran a little item on page 30 today. It's full of get well messages from Metafilter to Roger Ebert. It's online too.
