The crux of this FPP is a Supreme Court decision (concerning a male-on-male attempted homicide) that allegedly curtails the testimony of SANE nurses in rape cases. The Court's decision, as linked, uses the word "rape" twice, both times in the phrase "tried to rape [her]". However, that document does not use the words "SANE", "nurse", "medical" nor "doctor" at all. The only link that appears to connect SANE nurses to the Court's decision is behind a paywall and we only have the OP's interpretation of that document. Does this make for a good FPP?

Credit for enlightenment

Athanasius Kircher has joined metafilter (hooray!). But wait...He is not here to enlighten us, but rather to demand that jonson give them credit for his Blue Fugate post.

I for one welcome our new _______ overlords

I was wondering if anyone out there could point out the source of the "I for one welcome our new _______ overlords" meme. I've seen it frequently on Metafilter in many different iterations... I Googled it to no avail. Movie, song, novel, event? Thnx!

A story heard on Morning Edition preceded by a MeFi post

Forgive the potential horn tooting aspect here, but check out this story from yesterday's NPR Morning Edition--note the Other Resources listed at the bottom, where a couple of links are very familiar. This is by no means the first time a story heard on Morning Edition has been preceded by a MetaFilter post. Somebody over there must be a member or lurker here. It is in many ways an improvement on the post, let it be noted.

Is listing your source really that important?

Why is Miguel picking on Soon when only a small % of posts even say where the link is from? Why is that even important? Its usually an endless chain of I got it from this webpage, they got it from another webpage, that webpage was written by the brother of the webmaster, the webmaster sent a carrier pigeon to his brother about his new site, etc.

Webloggers don't own links, webmasters do.
