MetaTalk

Mefites use a bunch of userscripts, stylesheets, and bookmarklets to customize the site, but we don't have a place to collaboratively maintain them. What if we had a shared Github organization where authors could contribute their scripts for community maintenance? I've put one up over at github.com/mefiscripts/mefiscripts, and if folks think it's a good idea I'd love to have you join. [more inside]

It seems that http://userscripts.org has been down for an extended period of time, although the site is currently available on an alternate port ( http://userscripts.org:8080/ ). I would like to suggest if you maintain scripts there, that you make them available at another location (perhaps the mefi wiki?) out of an abundance of caution.

Just in case any other MeFi chatters want to use it, I've made a modified version of the userstyle that pb offered in the recent Chat Update MeTa. It turns off the sidebar in the MeFi chat web client. [more inside]

I've been happily using Plutor's "Deleted Posts" script in Chrome (v. 29.0.1547.76) on my Mac Airbook, but yesterday it stopped working. It was fine on Sunday, and I haven't updated Chrome or the script. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the script, and confirming that I'm using the latest one (according to userscripts.org I am). Is anyone else having this problem, or am I simply cursed?

With Safari 5 supporting extensions that are very similar to greasemonkey scripts, I'm wondering if any existing MeFi-related scripts have been/are being ported over.
