man, dashiv, those are still some good looking photos, light issues or no light issues. Sorry I couldn't make it; I tried to explain to baby Emerson what she was making me miss but she got stuck on the concept of a community weblog. She thought it was like LiveJournal or MySpace, and I had to explain that it was more like Fark but for pseudo-intellectuals, and then she got distracted by a boobies link.

light issues can be addressed in seconds in photoshop, paintshop pro, and most other photoprocessing software. that said, man, isn't scody hawt?

The Golden Gopher: great ambience, great music, and not nearly enough light inside to shoot by. My camera's meter read 1/3s at ISO 1600 and f/1.4. I shot at 1/15s, guess-focused, and resigned myself to severe underexposure, camera shake, subject movement blur, and a one-in-ten chance of anything vaguely resembling in-focus in the shots. Not many turned out at all, so I only posted a small handful this time.
Okay, I also probably didn't help matters much by lounging around on the couch outside so much to enjoy the cool LA night instead of assiduously taking pictures at the table. Fortunately, willnot picked up my slack: willnot's meetup photos (including shoutouts!). MetaChatters should note the enthusiastic female assistance in my Team Vag shoutout, including the newly-minted vag hand symbol. Sorry men, no boobies this time.
In retrospect, maybe I shouldn't have sold my flash unit to help make rent after the end of last year's wedding season. Can we do this month's SF meetup somewhere with just a little bit of light, caitlinb?
