Do we have enough Albuquerqueans (or New Mexicans, for that matter) to muster a meetup?
Google Earth shows about 7 of you in the county (Bernalillo?) a few outside of it.

I'm up in Rio Rancho, but I haven't been here very long and don't really know where anything is yet. Let me know if anything is planned. I'd love to be there.

I've got 10 people "close to me" on my user page. I know there are at least two locals who don't show up there.
Anyone else?

Well that makes four of us.
I'm half tempted to email all the folks who have email addresses listed in profile.

We should plan this so that the maximun number of people are able to attend, since we're starting with so few as it is. I can go anytime, but wouldn't it best to have in on a weekend night?
Also, there's no reason we can't email the mefites listed as
"nearby", as long as it's only one email and not spammy. I think we should do so.
Santa Fe has more possibilities for a very New Mexican feel for the meetup, but surely there's more mefites in Albuquerque? But I think we should pick the place carefully to maximize comfort and atmosphere.
Somone should email scody, she told me sometime or other that her parents are in SF. Maybe we could get her to come when she's in town?

I say let's do something the weekend of the 11th.
I'm okay with either city, though I think Albuquerque has the better beverage options.
I'll throw out these suggestions:
Martini Grill
Sig's
Ned's on the Rio Grande
