LoFi has extra links! March 19, 2006 9:55 PM Subscribe
Why does this post have an extra link in LoFi but not on the blue?
It looks like the missing link is the whole point of the post.

the post looks exactly the same on both to me. posted by mathowie at 9:58 PM on March 19, 2006
Hmmm.. the first link is missing for me on the blue.
I just rebooted, and it's still missing. The link is the same text as the Headline/title, but there isn't a link.
Maybe it's just firefox playing tricks? posted by shnoz-gobblin at 10:02 PM on March 19, 2006
Looks the same in both place to me too. Weird, dood. posted by scarabic at 10:08 PM on March 19, 2006
I'm looking at it in Firefox and the first link is there for me.
That's really strange. Does my test show the link? Because it doesn't show up for me. posted by shnoz-gobblin at 10:17 PM on March 19, 2006
Your comments that start out with "Very strange" and "Test**" both show the link for me. Are you sure you don't have something crazy in your eye? posted by Gator at 10:19 PM on March 19, 2006
Doesn't work in Internet Explorer, either. posted by shnoz-gobblin at 10:20 PM on March 19, 2006
Maybe I'm just crazy. I wonder how many other links I'm not getting the whole story on. posted by shnoz-gobblin at 10:21 PM on March 19, 2006
Clearly you've been brainwashed by the anti-NASCAR liberal elites. posted by IshmaelGraves at 10:30 PM on March 19, 2006
I must be on their list, that's for sure. Nascar isn't really my thing, and I wouldn't have noticed, except I keep LoFi on my firefox tabs to catch the deleted items.
I find it especially strange that they won't show up on my posts either, and it seems to be selective.
It showed up in preview, but not after I hit POST.
There's gotta be SOMEONE else here having the same 'problem'. posted by shnoz-gobblin at 10:36 PM on March 19, 2006
Are you using some sort of filtering proxy, such as an advertisement suppressor (e.g. AdSubtract or Proxomitron)? That could be removing things from your HTML stream because of a filtering rule gone awry. posted by Steven C. Den Beste at 10:41 PM on March 19, 2006
Ah!! Thanks Steven! I disabled Norton Internet Security, and now I can see them.
Damn you Norton! Why do you hate Nascar! posted by shnoz-gobblin at 10:43 PM on March 19, 2006
OK, problem solved! Thanks for your time. You can close the thread. posted by shnoz-gobblin at 10:44 PM on March 19, 2006
