So ... are any other MeFites doing the online Jeopardy! screening? The test starts in 6 minutes!
I did it! Thanks for this thread - I registered & took the test all in about 3 minutes. I thought it was easy - much easier than I expected anyway.

I took the test tonight. Does anybody know what a passing score is?

I think it'll depend on what scores they get. I don't know that there's a hard-and-fast rule for "passing." And ... it didn't give you a score, did it? I was under the impression that they'd be checking them by hand. That strikes me as absurd, but that seemed to be what the site's copy implied.
Here's the copy from the "thank you" screen:
Here's the copy from the "thank you" screen:
"Thank you for taking the JEOPARDY! ONLINE CONTESTANT TEST! Your test scores are currently being tabulated by the JEOPARDY! contestant department. Depending on the number of people who achieve a passing score, a random selection process may need to be implemented, and those selected will be invited to a contestant interview in the audition city selected during registration."posted by Alt F4 at 5:31 PM on March 28, 2006
Alt F4, you bastard. My test is tomorrow too, but you sure scared the crap out of me.

Yeah, my impression was that they're checking them by hand. But I have a pretty good idea about how I did.

Indeed, I took the test with OSX and Safari no problem.

Crap. I registered for the east coast test but totally forgot about it. And now that Jeopardy! knows I registered for the online test, I'm ineligible for registering for the next audition near me.

Anyone get confirmation of passing yet? I want to know when I can officially give up hope.

You won't get any confirmation for quite some time, Otis. If you did acceptably well, they'll notify you about the next regional tryouts. We had our moment of fun, now it's back to the rest of our lives.

I took it, got most of the questions right, but there were a couple I couldn't get in the 15 seconds allotted. I took it on a Mac running OSX/Firefox without any problems.
I'm sure someone on the internet wrote down the questions and has them on line so we can see how we did.

I'm not eligible because I took the in-person test last July, though it was around this time last year that I electronically threw my hat in the ring to be chosen for an in-person test. I hope they have another online test before this time next year.

I took it on a PC running Firefox and had no problems. But it was harder than I expected after reading your comments above. Maybe you're all just smarter than I am. Either way - it was fun! (don't expect to see me on Jeopardy any time soon)

I watched over someone's shoulder during last night's game. It was a little tougher than I expected, but it went reasonably well. I also don't remember seeing a penalty for guessing on a question, so you may want to keep that in mind.
