AskMe or MeTa? May 17, 2006 10:32 AM   Subscribe

Should requests for information regarding Metafilter be posted to AskMe or MeTalk?

For instance, if I'm trying to remember an FPP from a while back, is that an Ask (because it has a definite answer) or or a Talk (because it's "about" MeFi)? Given the swiss cheese brain I work with, this will come up again.

Post it to MetaTalk - see this thread for a recent example.

If you forget in the future, AskMe will remind you on the question page:

"Is your question regarding MetaFilter, MetaTalk, or Ask MetaFilter? Post it to MetaTalk, which is designed for questions about the site itself."

Metafilter-related is one of the Metatalk categories for a reason. Ask it here.

On preview, what safetyfork said.

This is a meta-question. It's a question (posted to MeTa) about whether to post a question to AskMe or MeTa.

Brilliant, anotherpanacea! I like your dry/subtle humor, even if no one else appreciates it.
