TextAd request: show us the urls?
posted by o2b to Feature Requests at 11:02 AM (9 comments total)

i like to know where i'm going before i click. would it be possible to add the url of the target site into the 'title' attribute of the ad's link?

usually i get the info from the status bar, but one reason i don't click a lot of ads is because i never know where i'm going -- the status bar almost always shows the address of the ad server, not the target site.

I'm adding this now (I mentioned it in the bigger thread on ads).

There, done.

I tried to buy a TextAd, but the PayPal process is U.S. only. We Canadians would love to give you some money Matt.

From what I understand, PayPal is capable of international transactions. Any idea why Canada is excluded? I want to give you money!

Strange. I have gotten at least one international payment today. If I remember correctly, there was a problem with mastercard agreeing to work with paypal in Canada, and I thought they had fixed those problems, but I guess not?

I'm in Canada and my payment went through just fine.

I tried to help someone from Canada set up a PayPal account on Friday. It didn't work. I tried again today, with no luck.

It worked for me about a year ago.

Could you also put the URL in the title attribute (for us Opera users)?

(The JavaScript won’t work for some browsers and those of us who disable JS.)

You guys are right, it does work for Canada. My bad. It turns out that the default page is U.S. only, but if you go create an account (which I needed to do anyhow) you can do so for any country.

Pardon the confusion. Thanks.
