New feeds of MetaFilter are available.

There's a handy deepleap plugin

and a pure xml feed of the 24 hours of headlines (currently cut down to ~50 characters in length but I feed the entire post).

I'll whip up a RSS/RDF channel soon and put it at my.netscape, my.userland, or meerkat.

Nice! How often is the xml file created? And do you have guidelines as to how often you want it pulled from your server?

d'oh forgot to mention that - it's pulled hourly (on the hour) from the database, which produces these flat files. They're just flat files, so if you want to pull them directly off the server, that's fine. If the performance is too slow, then cache locally instead, updating hourly.

When using the plug-in, and viewing the headlines works. However when clicking on the more button the page loads in the main window, as well as the deepleap window. I didn't know whether to comment hear or on deepleap.org- so I commented here. Also, I don't know if it was supposed to or not, but when clicking on the topic/link at the begining of the headlines, it takes you to the same as if you click the comments, some I tried didn't load the page in the dl window, some did- I found (while trying to "copy shortcut") that if you right-click on them it does what I think it's supposed to. Hope that's clear.

thanks for the notes. I'll check with the deepleapers and see why it does the weird window things.

Hi there. Sorry if this question will sound like a stupid one, but I'm very newbie in this XML Feed thing. I want to use on my site though, and I'm wondering how is this done?
PS: Are the colours of the links and text customisable?
