dhtml titles still showing up even though I don't want them to. March 7, 2007 11:35 PM   Subscribe

Yesterday I decided to explore editing my user profile and decided to try out the "Show dhtml link titles." Upon giving it a try I decided I didn't like it and turned it off, then saved my preferences. The dhtml titles still show up though. I just double checked and my preferences are still set to "no" for that setting. Anyone else having trouble turning these off?

I can replicate the bug (WinXP, Firefox 2). You can quick-fix it by deleting your cookies and logging back in to the site. However, if you change the setting again the bug recurs.

If you can delete individual cookies, the one from metafilter.com called TITLES is the one to nix. (That way you don't have to log back in. Just CTRL/OPT+SHFT+R.)

You know, it's late and I'm not exactly of sound mind tonight— but I'm uncomfortable with how comfortably the phrase "deleting your cookies" scanned. Mmmm, cookies.

Regardless of the hair-splitting refractive index, the entire topic should stand as disproof of how the speed of light changes as the medium changes. These so called 'neo-primitives' are, perhaps, not "so"fundamental. Who gave [a *shit*{?}] Hmm.. I mean when it mattered? Natch.. @3
