iPhone-filter (Metafilter App for iPhone)) August 21, 2007 11:11 PM Subscribe
I made a MetaFilter application for the iPhone using iPhone Apper. You can see a preview of the icon, and download it here. I found some super easy instructions for installing 3rd party applications on shauninman.com.
If someone wants to take a better shot at it, you can use my Photoshop template. I hope others with iPhones get some use out of this-- I like having my favorite website within easy reach!
Looks cool, though I don't want to hack my iphone to install it. What's the app look like running on your phone? Or is it just a launcher for the blank area of the main menu?

Just a launcher. I should have made that more clear in the post! It's really nothing special, but I spent a long time trying and re-trying to getting the icon to display right. I thought I'd share the results.
Hacking the thing is a bitch, but custom ringtones were worth it for me.

It looks snazzy. If I had an iphone, I would use it. Feel free to buy me one and make me prove it. ; )

I applaud customisation in general, but wow, it's *this* hard to add a simple shortcut to an iphone launch screen? It's like the spirit of Anti-Apple ][ Forever.
