Would anyone care to join me in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk?

If yes, I'll organize a Metafilter team. There are four routes to choose from: 3, 5, 13.1 and 26.2 miles. Participation requires either a $200 donation or fundraising of an equal amount. Any local Runner+ and We Endure folks interested?

So, yeah, I'd love to. It'd be as close as I'll ever get to participating in the Boston Marathon.

Alas, I'm not in Boston, and have a different vacation planned for that week, so I'm out. Sorry!

Anyway.
I know how you feel. I did a bicycle ride from Sydney to Canberra to support 'Free Tibet' and ended up sponsoring myself for the whole thing. In the final analysis, money raising wasn't that important, it was the participation. I'm sure you ran a good race.
