Sure. Here's your update. He signed my breast. Backwards! I didn't realize it until I noticed I could read it in the mirror.

Why does asavage get fudge?! You're supposed to bring enough for the whole class.

No, no, he sent him a pudge. It's our new weight-loss program.

you sent him a squishy faced dog? I've wanted one for years! Why didn't I get a pug?

because jonson cornered the market.

Well if you sent Adam Savage a judge, I sure hope it was Antonin Scalia. I'd like to see his idea that he has some singular, god-given insight into the intentions of the original framers of the Constitution busted, that's for damn sure.

Seriously, with all these pages we're sending him, I think he deserves the fudge.

No. No, you can't.

In the meantime, any update on when this site's being officially renamed asavagefilter?

Can I get a witness?
Yeah. Can I get a witness.

Yeah.
Can I get a witness.
I'm talkin'

She's some kind of wonderful.

My friends & I used to sing that as "Can I get a Wheat Thin."

Umm. I still haven't done it. The only things I've signed lately have been fan mail, and that seems to go against... you know? I was waiting for an actual person to ask. But since I'm just in the shop all day, and only the odd german shows up from time to time to take pictures of the building (or mefite)...

Tell you what- I'm in davis this weekend doing a speaking engagement, I'll sign something backwards. Any mefites going to the davis show?

Oh, and foundmissing, I don't sign body parts as a matter of policy. But Jamie does.

Man. I can only dream that someday my life is such that I find it necessary to draft a body-part-signing policy.

Agreed. I watched the first liftoff and waited for the camera to track its trajectory and ... nothing. Just street-level shots. I was so disappointed. The heater carcass dropped back into the shot like 30 seconds later.

Little did I know they were saving the money-shot for the huge frickin' house-shattering detonation. I actually would've liked an even wider shot of that. Maybe I'll actually check out the online videos they're always pimping for once.

I know what the bat signal is, and I know what the 'hat signal is, but what is the mythbusters signal? Is it blowing something up, or what?

He keeps a mefite in the shop that Germans come to take photos of? That sounds cruel, but is probably deserved. I wonder who it could be?

I would have thought it was the other way around. Let me guess, he signs their upper lip in his attempt to outfit the entire world with handlebar mustaches.

philomathoholic: "what is the mythbusters signal? Is it blowing something up, or what?"
A remote-controlled device that causes distinctive twitching in Jamie's mustache.

Wha---? Did my husband sign your breast, found missing?! Oh, he's in the DOG HOUSE now. :)
posted by web-goddess at 2:23 PM on November 9, 2007

Actually, I don't have breasts, so the whole thing turned about to be some sort of elaborate drug-fueled fantasy. Apologies all around.
posted by found missing at 3:05 PM on November 9, 2007

Does your signing policy extend to imaginary bodyparts, asavage? We may have found a loophole here.
