Request: clarification that MeFi logins work on Meta. January 3, 2002 12:08 PM   Subscribe

Would it be possible to explain on the MetaTalk login page that MetaFilter and MetaTalk logins are the same thing? I joined MetaFilter sometime around August and had wanted to participate, but thought I would need a new account, which, obviously, was (and is) not available. It wasn't until this post, followed by this response, that I realized that the logins were the same. Clearly, I wasn't the only one who had this problem. I would think a small note on the page would do the trick.

alright, I'll add something. I guess I figured since the signup page pointed at the metafilter signup, it was clear you need to have a metafilter account, not some special metatalk one.

I was also confused by this when I first joined, Sinner. For some reason MetaTalk doesn't pick up the cookie you get when you log into MetaFilter, so you've got to log in twice. If you've already done this, it isn't a problem. But to the uninitiated, it makes it look as if you need a seperate account.
