I've been holding myself back making a MetaTalk post complaining about it (and all the foul similar acronym progeny it's spawned) - I can tell it's a single link because I can count to one, okay, and I can tell it's from YouTube (or whatever) because I can mouse over a link and read a damn URL. Basically what it means is, I'm aware that there is a time and attitude that this sort of thing requires some kind of justification, and I'm going to acknowledge that, but not provide any. I am no meme-historian, but my take was that the SLYT label (which I admit to having used) was began to preempt all the pointless "Whaaaa, you posted a single you tube link? Is that best of the web?" comments that are sure to follow. To me, it's a way of saying, "Yes, I know it's only a single YouTube link, but if you are not clever enough to roll over the link and figure it out yourself, I am warning you ahead of time that if you don't like single links to YouTube, then don't click here and waste your time, for the sole purpose of leaving a comment that complains about it being a single link YouTube post."
