Ajax the Best Answers October 14, 2008 9:27 PM   Subscribe

Is it possible to make [Best Answer] work like favorites? You know, all AJAX-y?

I very nearly lost a comment I was writing because I clicked on a "Mark as Best Answer" link expecting it to behave like a "Add to Favorites" link. I know, you love more work, but it seems like this is something you could whip up in a day or so.

Could you please whip me up some eggs too, while you're in the kitchen with the AJAX?

I'd AJAX those features, if you know what I mean.*

* I actually don't know what I mean. Is the site still running on Cold Fusion? Because I don't know that weirdness.

Can you make everything about 50% more Web2.0?

Are we talking Telamonian Ajax or just Locrian Ajax?

hijack: apple.com discussions not only have a solved/best answer option that gives the thread a checkmark but also a helpful option that doesn't indicate on the front page the party is over. I always thought that would be nice to have to askmefi, too.

I want all the options to be drag-and-drop so I can customize my Metafilter experience on the fly.

I've already promised it to some senior VPs who were very excited about the idea, so go ahead and make it a priority. They're flying in tomorrow, so if you could have a test environment up to show them I'd appreciate it.

Can you make Homer more AJAXY? People would love it if he just answered immediately, without having to visually communicate with his brain.

While you're at it, could you increase everything by about four… quads… per channel?

i'm going to ask this here since i don't think it deserves its own post:

And when they found our shadows
Grouped around the laptop screens
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test
They checked out all the data on their lists
And then the alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed
But on eliminating every other reason
For our sad demise
They logged the only explanation left
This Web site has AJAXd itself to death.

Dang. Bloglines sucks? I mean, I'm starting to notice that, but man, I've been using bloglines for sooo long. Any way to import my feeds into Google Reader? (obviously resisting change here, but I trust you guys, why I do not know)

Yep. Hit "Export Subscriptions" at the bottom of Bloglines' left-hand pane. Save the OPML file somewhere. In Google Reader, find "Import/Export" in the Settings screen, and import that OPML file. Done.

That was almost toooo easy. Thanks! (Happily switched now. Yay change!)
