Minor display error with IE 6 & 7 February 9, 2009 1:47 PM   Subscribe

The stripy background at the top of the page is broken with IE. But what isn't, amirite?

I just noticed that the striped background for the Logo is off by a little bit, compared to the rest of the striped background across the top of the page. It looks like it may be off by the same thickness as the "Welcome to the new server!" banner?

Image here.
It happens on all sub-sites with IE 6 & 7 (different machines for different IE versions). Firefox 3 looked fine.

Oh, and I'm seeing this too. IE7 on XP.

I don't see a striped background. Only the soothing white blankness behind the logo.

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me in IE. That's also what it looks like in Firefox. They're exactly the same.

Huh. That's a totally different image than the one that loads for me.

your user number's over 50k so you don't get as many stripes as we do

yeah, it looks like the "Welcome to the new server" thing at the top of the page was causing it. I just looked, and everything lines up now that it is gone.
