James Joyce's dirty letters were discussed a long time ago...

...and the link to the letters in that thread is broken. Someone linked me to an intact instance of the letters and I was contemplating an FPP.

So, the question is, is it kosher to make a new FPP linking to what is presumably the same content in a new home, especially given the age of the original thread?

If not, I guess people looking for dirty letters from James Joyce will have to find them through MeTa.

A post five years later even to the same content is likely to be okay, esp if you bring something new to the post. Generally speaking though, just updating a post with a new link to the same content isn't likely to otherwise clear the double post guidelines. Does that make sense?

Perhaps you should include links to LOTS of dirty things.

Hey Metroid Baby, fuck you. You just caused my crush on Kate Beaton, which was already huge, to multiply like 500 times over, because now I know that not only is she brilliant and hilarious, she's also super cute. Never mind the fact that I would have seen that entry in the near future anyway, I'm laying the blame squarely on you.

That was uncalled for, I apologize Metroid Baby. It's just that I'm now going to waste away in longing forever more now, and I was upset by that knowledge. I shouldn't have lashed out at you.

Kate Beaton is the shit.

Wow. Hadn't seen these before, and my reaction is quite similar to Kate Beaton's, I must say.

Which is the only thing I have in common with her, unfortunately.
