We wanna meet some New York mefites!

My other half and I are gonna be in New York City from Tuesday, 16 June afternoon through Friday, 19 June morning. Would any of you in the NYC area like to be meeting up?

We are staying here and would be up for eats, drinks, events, experiences, happenings, and sightseeing companions anytime during the trip! But we are very ignorant of NYC so would love the locals to take the lead on helping us determine the best venue for our get-together.

FWIW, there's an exhibit at the Neue Galerie about the Breuke movement ( which inspired the covers of Bowie's Heroes and Lodger albums...and iggy Pop's The Idiot) which I'm dying to see.

Next week's looking sorta full-ish for me, so I hesitate to jump in with a suggestion for any particular time or place, but if you pick a time for a meetup, I'll definitely try to stop by and say hello!

Ok, the 18th at 7 at the Gansevoort entrance to the High Line.....if the weather threatens to/does turn nasty the same time at Half King.

I think the rain plan should be called now, given that the city has been deluged all day. I am going to try to make it, but I might have to stay at work too late to make it before I have to head off to another, later event.

Yes, rain plan, I think. I for one would prefer the Half King to a soaking on the High Line. Though the trains may be goofy. I know the 7 is out of whack right now. Dunno about the E, which is the closest train to W23/10Ave.
