Well, the dietary laws of kashrut are unclear (or, rather, non-existent) on animals which are neither ruminant nor cloven-hoofed, but I think we can all agree that babies are pretty unclean.

kindof what i was thinking, only equal parts milo powder and jameson's irish whiskey?!??
no, what you wanna do is jameson's with a whole bunch of rich creamery cream, and a spoonful of milo or so, along with an equal amount of brown sugar. it'd end up something like a bailey's irish cream, only richer and creamier. next up, turn that stuff into a nice frozen gelato, and then you'd have a coldchef. mmm...
oh, wait, we were talking about babies, not booze? my bad.
congratulations!

Thanks everyone for the well-wishes. Today didn't go quite as planned, but things have calmed down now.
Yesterday, when we went to the doctor, the baby was turned and in position. It seemed like everything was a go for a vaginal delivery today. We got up at 4:15am and came down to the hospital. We were checked in and labor had started by 7am. At 8:30 when our doctor came by to check her, she discovered that he had turned somehow and was out of position. Gina got really, really upset because she was terrified of a C-Section, but the doctors were very kind and patient with her.
We went in for the C-Section at around 10am. By 10:23, I was a daddy again. We didn't know what we were having, so a boy was a nice surprise. I'm not ashamed to say that I was completely overcome with happy, happy tears.
In the last week or so, we had a nuclear-grade meltdown over baby names for a boy (though I appreciated all the help I got from MeFites, she was reluctant to take any of the suggested names.) It finally ended with me giving her complete control over naming-rights. I'm happy with the name she chose. She liked Milo (and I pointed out that some baby sites say that "Milo" comes from the word "Apple", which the MacUsers in us loved.) and "Jameson" is after her grandfather. My brother has already bought a bottle of 12 year old Jameson's Irish Whiskey for Milo's wedding day. Or maybe his first birthday.
The only other glitch is that I had prepped a mass-email to send to friends and family (nothing ri-donk-ulous, just 189 recipients) and Gmail flaked out on me, accusing me of being a spammer and shut down my ability to send an email. I'm not really sure how I can rectify that, but I spent most of my day calling or texting all of the 189 people. I apologize that I promised emails to a bunch of people here today and wasn't able to follow through. Really aggravating. Thankfully, I got the word out through Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, texting, and the good old-fashioned tele-ma-phone.
Mama and Milo are sleeping right now. They've both had a rough day. We'll be in the hospital for a few more days. Thanks for all the love and support throughout all of this. We love you all.

So, how long before you get him an account? It'd be pretty cool if Matt could count infants among his member demographics, and even cooler when, in ten years, he's talking smack and someone asks him how long he's been a member and he could honestly reply "Since I was a week old"...
