I believe I have expressed an opinion similar to this before, but I think it's really important to note that one of the things about being an adult who lives in a functional society is that you do not get to give in to that kind of vengeancy urge. OF COURSE you wish bad things on someone who has committed what you consider to be unconscionable acts, but as a thoughtful, reasonable person you recognize that feels of revenge are perfectly reasonable and you also recognize that you DO NOT ACT ON THEM.

Please do not take all the weird rapey stuff that people put in MeFi that is destined to be deleted and put it above-the-fold in Meta. Those comments have been removed. The system, such as it is, works.

Upon further consideration, I believe this issue would have been more properly handled via the contact form and user notes. Uncanny hengeman has been around here for seven years, so I don't think his problem is mere ignorance of community norms.
