PonyReq: Clear Recent Activity?

Every now and then I go through Recent Activity and click "remove from activity" on all the threads still active. It's sort of a way to both remove distractions and start fresh. I just thought it might be nice and easy if there were one button that would wipe it all and give you a clean Recent Activity slate, as an alternative to doing it one by one.

Obviously not a world-changer. Just a tiny bit of added ease. No big woop if it's a no go.

Seems rather drastic.

Sounds like a nice idea actually.

Eh, personally I can see the niche appeal of it but it does seem like a very niche sort of thing at that. I hate to doom you to extra clicking when you feel like getting your tabula rasa on, but I'm not sure it's really worth the effort to implement and educate.

This might be another sky pony, but what about something (a profile field?) where you set how many days back you want "Recent Activity" to go? I guess it already cuts off after 1 month, but maybe some people only want to see threads that have been active in the last week, or the last day, even.

I'd totally use this all the time because I read/participate on the site sporadically.

And then someone who does it accidentally comes to MeTa asking for a Restore Recent Activity and then the next thing you know, you can't move for fear of stepping in pony shit.

It does seem to be a logical extension to the fact that you can do it individually anyway. Just a simple button on the top that says, "clear all recent activity." It would be pretty obvious what that does, I think, from an educational standpoint. A confirmation that says, are you sure, there's no undoing it, and you'd be good to go.
