As a Carolina fan, pretty much any exposure to basketball has made me physically ill for a couple months. That said, I'm in to give me some reason to watch.

Bulgaroktonos: As a KU fan, I can tell you that Roy Williams is a regular season coach. Sure, he's won a couple of titles with the Heels, but I see a lot of 2nd and 3rd round exits coming for your squad in the future.

Oh, Villanova. Normally this is where I [a Pitt girl] would say something snarky, but I'm still stinging from last night's loss to Notre Dame.

Also, I need the practice at keeping my taunting to myself, because the boyfriend is going to be a grad student at Villanova in the fall, and I really ought to learn to play nice with others.

Wow, I didn't realize I still had it in me to come to Roy Williams's defense. Roy has won a couple of titles with the 'Heels...in seven years there. Admittedly, he never won a championship at Kansas, but he made the final four a few times, and got to the final twice. Right now, he has the second most titles of any active coach, behind Krzyzewski, who only has three. Given that Ratface has been coaching for about a decade longer, I wouldn't be surprised if Roy can pass him before his career is over. It's hard enough to win a title these days, that I don't think the "regular season coach" or "can't win it all" labels make much sense.

Honestly, there's enough parity in college basketball these days that I'd be happy if we made the tournament every year, and won a championship every decade or so and I'm confident Roy can deliver that(well, he might not have too many more decades in him, but he deliver it for a while).

That said, he's gotten nothing out of this year's team, and this season cannot be over soon enough.

Rebuilding is a bitch and to top it off Williams thoroughly and pretty vocally hates this year's Heels. It's too depressing to watch and that's my excuse for not really giving a shit this year and just pulling for my crappy old Winthrop Eagles and lighting a bracket on fire and toppling cars any damn way.

Thanks for responding to my last minute request so quickly, reenum. That Yahoo is tricky -- as I'd set up my brackets but realized just now that I hadn't submitted it for the MetaFilter group.

I'll certainly say this is user error, rather than UI error... or it may just be that I've entered my brackets in 5 different systems since last night, so it might just be burn out.
