Music crashes in Chrome on OS X.
Music.metafilter seems to crash in Chrome on OS X for me. Anyone else?

Yeah, works here fine. I'm on the same version as mathowie.

Weird. Yes, 5.0.342.7, and I just reinstalled the latest Flash (10,0,45,2), and it still doesn't work.
Other Flash sites work just fine.

Post a crash log somewhere.

Chiming in with another "ok" with this OSX (10.6.2) Chrome (5.0.342.7) combo.

Chrome on OSX is still in heavy development, so the odd crash shouldn't be too big of a surprise I suppose.

Yup, it crashes here and there. It's not just Music, it's other sites too. Have you upgraded to OSX 10.6.3? That seemed to fix things for me.

dmd, maybe it's something weird on our end. Music consistently and completely fails to load in Chrome for me also, but the other MeFi subsites are fine.

Doesn't crash for me, but it does peg both cores of my cpu for about 2 minutes loading all the players that show on the front page. Is this what you mean?

Aha, interesting cj_ ... I finally gave it a chance to actually load. It pegged both cores for 7 minutes and then loaded just fine.

As a data point, I was having the same issue with music and youtube and updated to 10.6.3 and had to reinstall flash before it started working.

This happens for me on Windows 7, Chrome 5.0.342.8 beta (I first noticed it on the podcast page). But not on YouTube, Hulu, or other flashy sites.

Wow, seven minutes. Older mac?
In any case, I don't think this is an issue mefi can solve. I'm not sure what's going on but I imagine it'll sort itself out by the time Chrome is out of beta.
I still have to fire up that old clunker FireFox occasionally. I'm really liking Chrome a lot but it's not 100% there yet.
