Baltimorons, anyone up for an Artscape meetup?
I'm thinking the Mount Royal Tavern (central, cheap, has a beer garden during Artscape.)

How about July 30th weekend for Otakon? I'll be in town for that.

Empath - that's a little far in advance, but I'll be around. Possibly at Otakon, actually. I've been meaning to go for years.

Has there ever been a successful Baltimore meet-up? We're all a bunch of flakes.
On that note, the theater I live/work in will be performing at UB for Artscape. We're doing a play that was written by a 14 year old kid from Baybrook Middle down in Brooklyn. We've also enlisted a bunch of kids from the neighborhood [Greenmount West] to act in it. It's gonna be fun and weird.

Ooonsk ooosnk.
And cloeburner - there have been a few. Those of us non-flakes usually just head to DC and invade theirs, though.

Yeah, I agree with Al, Otakon is a bit down the line. Prolly 50/50 on me making that event proper. (Slightly higher if MegaRan is going to be back.)
I'm likely to be at Artscape all days, so I'm pretty flexible (although cloeburner's play sounds like a must-see.)

Also, why is Artscape consistently scheduled for the summer's absolutely worst weekend (heat-wise/weather-wise)?
Why does it always rain during SoWeBo? It's one of life's mysteries.

I'm another Baltimore flake. I always make Artscape, but sometimes I volunteer. Never been to Otakon, but always enjoyed the costumes when I worked downtown.
So, I'm a maybe. Chance goes up if the meetup is during the day on a weekend or somewhere I can park my motorcycle.
