Matt's on the front page of boing boing tonight.
I know it's an older video (previously), but still.

I rewatched it last night for the first time in 8 months and man did I seem low-energy.
And I should have taken that stupid nametag off.

It's a good talk and seems really human and not another guy-with-pedestal telling you about how smart he is. I really enjoyed the re-watch.

That's no robot, it's a hug! He's hugging us all!
And why is there no picture of Antinous, Avram or Felton? I feel sorry for them now. Maybe Matt is hugging them, too?

Community Manager Appreciation Day sounds like one of those made up holidays like Bosses Day or Secretary's Day. But if there will be cake in the break room, I might stop by.

It was yesterday, as near as I can tell. The fact that Cory posted this a day late amuses me. Maybe it's yesterday in London?

My kid (18) came in halfway through me watching, and when the 10 year thing came up, I pointed to the screen and touched the blue blob on Brisbane, Australia, and said, "I went to that, but I don't think anyone claimed the bartab in the end", and when the Vienna address askme came up, I said, "Oh this was classic," and then the Roadrunner, and I said, "this is awesome." She didn't say anything, (that doesn't matter and isn't the point) but I was glad she saw that the dude who runs my favourite website (I often start a topic in this house, so I saw on Metafilter) is a normal bloke with a great attitude.

and you know I thought the "A" in DTMFA was a reference to an anus.
So I also learned something new!

Nah, it seems like you're addressing people as fellow humans rather than the target of an ego trip that generally passes for those kinds of things.
Spot on. Nice work!

Somewhere in the distance, a single tear rolled down Gary Vaynerchuk's cheek as he realized that the only thing that you were crushing...was his heart.

Needs more catchphrase. Think about this - instead of "sweet spot" - try "Synergy Zone™."
And instead of community, call it a "ComMOD-nity®." Just think of the fuckin' optimized synergies, man! Think of the ROI! Conceptualize them paradigms, matey!

Wow...723 unread Memails?
I came here to say exactly this. I get super-excited on the rare days I get one MeMail. I practically took a screenshot during the plastic bag swap, when I got two at the same time.
quiet coyote, lets MeMail each other, we're obviously not getting enough MeFi love.
Oh. I also came here to say Yay mathowie for being awesome, and Yay crunchland for posting.
