Hate to be the one to say it, but we will be expecting a 2 hour podcast extravaganza

I happen to know that the podcast is in the works, though it may not meet the extravaganza requirement. :) Last month was pretty crazy, with every mod on that side of the pond away at different points... I don't think there was a single chance for Matt, Jess, and Cortex to eke out the time to sit down together (apart) and do it. But it's coming!

This is just to say that I would like to see the word "eke" used more often; also "irk" and "palaver".

Palaver is an interesting bastardization of palabras, the Spanish for words. I would like to hear the mods eke out some more palaver, too.

Yeah we were going to record one last week, stuff came up, we're recording one this week instead. I was basically out of the house all but four days last month and mathowie was more or less the same. Sorry for the lag.

A podcast with one (or even all) of the 'b-list' mods filling in would be cool, or doesn't Skype offer Intercontinental service?

It's more the timezone thing that's problematic to get taz on more podcasts.

Three people who Have Opinions is, I think, the most that can productively do a podcast in this format. I sub in from time to time when one of the usual suspects is out, and that's totally fine, but I kind of loathe the sound of my own voice so I don't feel sad when I'm not on it. Besides, someone needs to mind the shop!
