No. She is taking a break that may or may not be permanent but there's no BND.

Heh. I made a MeTa sorta like this one, wondering about jonmc a while back, when he signed off Mefi. But I got a note from a mod saying that kind of post isn't really encouraged. OK, I answered back, fair enough. But I guess they're kosher sometimes! Whatever, it's all good, as they say. Last night in the shower I had this great idea to get her address from like Greg Nog or someone and get a cake delivered with a message like "We Miss You Love From Mrs. Pterodactyl and All of Metafilter" but then I woke up this morning and it seemed a little creepy/privacy invading. What a lot of people don't know is that elizardbits is actually a basenji who's just really good at typing. And a few weeks ago, I threw a stick really far, and she went after it, and I haven't seen her since.

Usually I sort of roll my eyes at these sorts of inquiries, either because it feels like it should be the user's business if they want to disappear without fanfare, or else because the fanfare that arises seems a little strokey and indulgent ... but elizardbits, damnit! People like that deserve all the strokey indulgence we can muster.

Yeah I'm going to close this up.
