How about a metaFilter chat room? You can see who's logged in, get the angst off your chest and utterly destroy the last remaining productive minutes I have at work.

irc.metafilter.down, which is actually another name for irc.turlyming.com, is currently down (for the same reason that access to metafilter was blocked some days ago -- but while mefi got itself back up, turlyming did not).

The two minute flame will begin on Eastern or Western closing time, or just all day...................
How about, just lighting one's self on fire and flaming until your all flamed out. I'm sure you'll burn a lot more time wearing your wrist watch. :)

This is not sanctioned by Matt, but I just made a quick Video Chat Lounge for MeFi on CitizenX.

Oooh! Yay halcyon! We can have a group MeFigasm on July 1st!

Thanks, halcyon!

If it stays dead for much longer, I can put up an IRC server for those of us who prefer our chat to be textual. It's not like I didn't host #blogirc back in the day, anyway.
