More posts requires better search engine

Since the number of postings is growing by leaps and bounds, it would be nice to see a better search engine...(more inside)

Specifically, I'd like to be able to:

-search by just thread title and not include posting text
-search by title/posting text and user name
-search within certain dates

etc. Thanks!

-the only problem with that is threads don't exactly have titles. Do you mean the URL description that gets linked on most (but not all) threads?

- for this one you want "every mention of the word 'linux' by username 'baylink'?" If so, that's possible.

- dates are easy, yeah, I can do that.

Um, yeah, I guess I don't know the right terms to use. By "thread title" I mean the entire chuck of text that appears on the main page for an entry - the original comment/link/whatever.
