Comments about a "get kids off to school" app? February 10, 2023 9:00 AM   Subscribe

Sometime within the past few years, I read an AskMe where people recommended a specific app that "gamified" school-age kids getting ready in the morning. I've found plenty of similar apps Googling around but was trying to find the original one that came so highly recommended by MeFi.

Any ideas on the original post or app?

I don’t think I saw the post, but was it Brili?

I never saw such a post, but if someone finds it, and it works, I will build them a shrine.

Oh, I know this one! I read the same post and subsequently downloaded the app: Happy Kids Timer.

Searching for that name, it was easy to find the original comment from crunchy potato.

(It worked brilliantly for 2 weeks, then kid lost all interest. I should definitely try it again. When it worked, it was miraculous!)

Bah! Lioness had the right post!

But before I saw that, I downloaded the Brili app.

My friends... we have gotten out morning routine down from 70 minutes to 30 minutes. Even if the app doesn't hold out (and I think it will!), it has completely reconfigured how my children approach their mornings. It is like some kid of black magic.
