Fundraising Initiative: "Ask Mods Anything" (AMA) Session! August 9, 2023 11:30 AM   Subscribe

We're thrilled to have you join us for this fun event to engage, learn, and support MetaFilter. As we strive to make a positive impact, we're excited to open the floor to your questions.

You may ask anything you want in this thread to the mods (taz, goodnewsfortheinsane [a.k.a. gnfti], travelingthyme, Brandon Blatcher and myself).

Here's how it works:

– Contribute to the Virtual Tip Jar: Prior to posting your question, show your support by making a contribution of any value via Stripe, Paypal or Venmo (@metafilter) or by updating the payment method you use if you already have a subscription but your payment method has expired. Your contribution helps keep Metafilter running. Honor system.

– Ask Anything: Feel free to ask us anything! We're here to have fun together.

– Be Patient: Once you've submitted your question, our team will swing into action, responding as soon as the mod on shift is able to.

– Respect for Privacy: While we're excited to do this, please understand that certain information must remain private. We're more than happy to provide transparent and open responses without compromising confidential member or staff details.

– Positive Questions Only: We believe in the power of constructive conversations. Any questions spreading negativity will be swiftly removed. Let's keep the atmosphere uplifting and inspiring!

– Authentic Questions Only: To keep the AMA focused and engaging, please ensure your comment is in the form of a question. Non-question comments will be removed, so let's keep the Q&A flowing smoothly.

Your participation and contributions mean the world to us. Let the questioning begin!

(Note: Remember to make your contribution to the Virtual Tip Jar before posting your question. Thank you!)
