is morphic related to pickover? November 14, 2002 11:50 AM   Subscribe

is morphic related to pickover? 2/4 comments and 7/10 fpps have included pickover links (there's no email listed or i'd have made enquiries first). i'd dig out more examples, but i'm supposed to be working - it's not clear to me whether someone's being naughty, or just very fond of that site... [oh, and please can we not have the usual lynch mob aggressive doodah if there is something fishy going on?]

ooops. ignore the "dig out more examples bit" - that was before i decided to give up on earning a living and actually did count the number of pickover links...

blast!

It's Cliff himself, from the looks of things. His posts were interesting, though did seem to mention his own site every time. I'll email him and ask him to stop doing that.

Well, at the very least morphic could provide an explanation. If there was something unclear in the guidelines, we should know that. If it was just that he felt the guidelines shouldn't apply to him, well, we should know that, too. This is a pretty egregious example of someone flouting the no-self-link rule, isn't it? It's hardly aggressive "lynch mobbing" to ask why it happened.

I don't think its the asking why is happened that andrew was referring to (after all, it was he himself who did that)...My guess is he was referring to having 50 comments by the end of the night all asking for morphic to be burned at the stake (though it does sound tastey) full of lovey snarkiness and everything that goes with it.
