Weird blank section showing up in Mozilla November 15, 2002 11:12 AM   Subscribe

Just posted this thread in Mozilla. Reading the front page in Mozilla briefly showed a huge blank section between the last line of my post and the "posted by" line. The blank section didn't show up in IE and is fixed now in Mozilla. What happened? (FWIW, I'm absolutely sure I didn't include 25 or so blank lines at the end of the post.)

i just posted as well, and got a time out error, despite the fact that checking in another window showed the post did indeed happen. mefi has been up and down all day and last night, though, i suspect matt is still tinkering.

occasionally, i see a large blank space between a post and the bottom of the sidebar (but not IN the sidebar, rather to the left in the regular content area). i don't know if this is a bug in the browser or in the css code. the solution, for me, was to enlarge my browser window.

The phrase is "getting his tinker on".

mediareport, i've seen the same thing in mozilla a number of times (haven't checked in other browsers), and just assumed that matt did something to fix it when it went away.
but maybe that assumption is where i'm going wrong.
