Was this account hijacked? April 4, 2003 4:39 PM Subscribe
I'm having trouble reconciling this MetaTalk post with this user page and oh, this first comment and this later comment.
I'm thinking not the same person...
Hijacked account? somebody borrow mom's password?

After seeing this comment and the follow up, I looked at the bingbangbong user page and checked out the user page and then the MetaTalk post, which I do remember. I can't believe it's the same person--the diction, for one, the vocabulary for another, the manners, for yet another.

y2karl, knowing bingbangbong's stuff over at e2, I doubt the account's been hijacked. However, since he doesn't have anything on his user page or his profile here at MeFi that clues one in to his identity over at e2, rather than outing that persona here, I'll contact him and ask him to comment here if he wishes.

Oh, I dunno. I find a lot of the users here frustratingly one-dimensional. Should everybody have to use the same 'voice' every time they post? Life is shades of gray and I find that intriguing, not threatening. So let bingbangbong play with your head a little, it won't hurt...much.

You're right. Maybe one day next week I will eschew stupid jokes (in small font) and comic-book links in favor of prolific flowery prose peppered with references to cognac, expensive cigars and exotic foods. Then the next week I'll *belches, scratches crotch* take up off-color humor and post rude photoshopped images. And you'll have to guess who I am!
Blame iconomy, it's her idea. I think it's actually a fun one.

People?
Step away from the computer.
This is the kind of dubious textual exegesis I expect from grad students who are really desperate for a thesis — not MeFi.
Of course, we could always ask tamim.

Boy, leave for a few hours and look at what you find. I'll take your word for it, WolfDaddy. I am impressed at his range. I read this comment and clicked on his user page, then his URL, then his MetaTalk comment. It didn't seem like the same person. My first thought was maybe someone sold their user number. Sorry, I mentioned it.

It just wasn't that big of a deal to me. Talk about reading too much into what someone wrote, talk about someone who needs to step away from the computer...

Hey! You're ending a sentence with a preposition! That's something up with which I will not put!
