Hey, you're back, I hope the happy couple had fun on the honeymoon. Can I borrow your fancy top hat now?

Of course, while you were gone we robbed your house. You should'nt let people know you're going to be away, let that be a lesson to you.

Ok, maybe this is crass, but I'm dying to know -- did you see any of the hoopla that preceded you live-and-in-person? A nice note from the Queen or anything like that?

Between you and rcade, Metafilterites have been getting some quality time on the news ticker this month. Next month I may have to invent a cure for something, or perhaps stab someone influential, just to keep up our profile!

I gotta say, your suit and hat look awesome in that BBC photo.

I think I read that Chuckie sent them a bottle of bubbley.

Wow, things sure do drop off the front page quickly these days.

We didn't see anything of the Royals but we did receive a card, flowers and some Highgrove champagne from C & C. Delivered by the most immaculately turned out chap I have ever seen.

The day itself was amazing. Of course without all the hoopla it would have been awesome but the moments of the day, apart from getting married to my beautiful wife are --

- having police motorbikes surround our bus and escort us in.
- getting off the bus and seeing at least 3 of my friends doing interviews with TV crews
- leaving the Guildhall and seeing a 'wall' of cameras
- being asked to sign a C&C tea towel.. seriously..
- seeing a policeman pushing a photographer out of the way so we could get into the car
- having the police wave us goodbye as well as another motorcycle escort
- being recognised at the airport and being given free champagne.

What a day.
