Portland Meetup

Sorry for the short-notice reminder, it snuck up. Portland, Oregon MeFi Meetup, May 7th, 5:30, Lucky Lab Brewpub in Hawthorne. Same time, same place, same cast and crew, and hopefully some new faces. We'll be meeting out back by the parking lot in the covered area so that those that want can bring their pooches. See you then!

As I have only been at my job for a week and I missed last weekend due to Renn Fayre (and ah what a fantastic time that was), I can't make it to this one. Alas! (but you should all come around to Stromboli's on se 41st and woodstock- I'll, umm, show you to your seat. And you'll eat good food.)

How are the veg options at Stromboli's? That's in our neighborhood--we may stop by!

The sandwich-y stuff is meaty, but the veggi pizza is fantastic and the stromboli's are delicious (and not all meat-ful) as well. They've also got pasta-things, many of which I believe are veggi.

Too funny Strombolis is also in my neighborhood. I tried it last week-end and umm it was just ok. Sorry, maybe it'll get better once it's been open for a little while longer. Does anyone remember Davidson's that used to be in that building? The pods? Yumm

Ok well sure Davidson's wasn't exceptional or anything but that made these potato things that were so yummy. I actually worked there for a few weeks in my early twenties but the house policy was to put everyone's tips in a jar and split it equally at the end of the shift and frankly I was too awesome (not really) a server to put up with that nonsense. It's ok frykitty I plan on moving next month sometime so it'll no longer be "cool" to live on Woodstock. You'll have to follow me over to Alameda...

Excellent and entertaining as always, gentlemen ... and I loved meeting little Sophie, Turbodog.
Not sure when the next event will happen, but plan on a month from today. That would be June 4th, but my dodgeball league has their championships that day ... so what about June 5th?
