September 2005 Baltimore Meetup August 9, 2005 1:34 AM Subscribe
Baltimore meetup? I noticed that there are quite a few active MeFites here in Charm City, so I was wondering if anyone would be up for a get-together. September 3, perhaps? Anyone have ideas for a location?
Hey, I'm going to be in DC from 9/9 - 9/18. Perhaps we can merge the effort?

Sounds great, especially if it was actually in Baltimore. You could get up there from DC fairly easily, cior.

I've never been to Max's, but have heard good things. Does the date work for folks? (cior- I bet if you email the DC folks, they'd be up for a meetup...they haven't had one in a while.)
(We get IIHAA *and* Faint of Butt?! I'm sensing a theme.)

I don't know if I'll be able to make it - I love Baltimore but I'll probably be busy - but Ze Mean Bean might be a nice place to consider.

What's this "Red Emma's" place I've been hearing about like?
And what's this about Hunt Valley Mall? Jeez, I move away and the whole metro area falls apart.
Oh and by the way, Fells Point always was for frat boys, coke whores and tourists. So is Towson. I much preferred Leon's.

I'll give you the frat boys and coke whores, davy, but you have to admit that the tourists in Fells Point are at least a higher class of the species than the ones who think Baltimore is the Inner Harbor.

So where we at? Settled on the 3rd? Utterly nowhere on where?

depending on how many people there is a *great* place off eastern ave (i know i know, fells) but it is really homey little place. Peter's Inn. corner of eastern and ann st. think about it.

Agreed.
"Tourists? Towson? Huh?"
Out-of-state plates. Or maybe the last time I was there something *special* was going on.

re: date. The 3rd seems to work. I was going to give it a week or two and let this thread marinate and see what location suggestions we get and then go from there.
re: out-of-state plates inTowson. There are two colleges in the immediate vicinity. I think it's more from that than any tourist draw.

The 3rd definitely seems fine to me. I'll let amandaudoff be the final arbitrator of location, since she posted the thread.

The 3rd sounds good. I've been meaning to stop by Red Emma's to check it out too.

I would love to come, and the third works for me. Red Emma's is not huge, but depending, could work. Depending on weather, Peter's does have outdoor seating which is nice. I'm excited.

Hey, now that we have the whole "My Comments" thing, I can actually follow this thread to find out when 'where' is decided. Yay.

I was planning on doing one Friday unless someone wants to beat me to the punch...I wouldn't be terribly upset. Who knows? I could have an emergency call-out to make this week.
